Today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) announced they have looked at polling and are committing another $650,000 in ad buys between now and the election, for Alison Lundergan Grimes, the next Senator from Kentucky.
This is in addition to the $300,000 they gave Alison last week for get-out-the-vote efforts.
Sorry - not much of a diary, but we are alive, kicking and working hard in Kentucky!
Sorry, Chris Cilliza, Mark Halperin, Jon Heilmann, MSNBC and CNN - "her campaign is over and dead, she's been abandoned by the Democrats" was just a rumor you tried to start a week ago after she kicked Mitch McConnell's shell in the debate. Bad journalism, not fact-checked.
As an aside, this Monday night, the very progressive Elisabeth Jensen beat the mumbling, rambling Congressional House Rep of one term Tea Partier Andy Barr decisively in the KET debate (can be seen at www.ket.org and I've embedded, below).
It is worth it to watch that Jensen-Barr debate - if only to see the flailing emptiness of policy, and word salad, put out by the Tea Party and Republican party.
The 6th Congressional district is central Kentucky horse country, includes Lexington (blue) and the surrounding counties (pink, but increasing democratic turnout)
We need to get Elisabeth to Washington DC, and get rid of Andy Barr. He's simply Tea Party terrible. Elisabeth is a wonderful progressive: decisive, concise, educated on the issues. Her strength is education.

The Andy Barr (R -Tea Party) and Elisabeth Jensen (D-Progressive) debate. The first question is on the ACA-#Kynect. Barr repeats most of Mitch McConnell's lies about the Affordable Care Act, and mumbles incoherently about the rest. It's a sight to be seen
