This is short, but last night's SNL, starting with Rock's monologue and Prince's amazing 8 minute "third eye" performance, it was one of my favorites in a long time.
Rock skewered the Boston marathon attack, 9/11, the commercialization of Christmas and making up sales for other holidays, testifying before Congress about gun control--outrageous.
best line: "I wouldn't go into the Freedom Tower if Scarlet Johansson was on the 89th floor buck naked in a plate of ribs!"
And I loved the skit about ISIS trying to get investments from the "Shark Tank" investors.
here is a link to the monologue:

There is a lot of outrage out there in pundit land. You can exploit the fear, but you cannot make fun of it.
And the Taylor Swift skit was achingly funny. Dr David Doctor explains the dissonance of hating Swift while dancing to the ear worms her music creates.
Rock is already being excoriated everywhere, but the man knows how to talk about the stupid and the arrogance of what passes for "reverence" in our culture.
"No bling on Jesus." Still laughing
I'm lousy at embedding, so if someone could stick it in the comments, I'd appreciate it.
