I have Charter cable TV and use Charter to access the internet. My homepage is charter.net Here is the what I saw on my homepage tonight.

This was not the first time I have seen a Fox News story as outrageous as this one. Just before the election I was greeted with a Fox News story on how votes of "illegal aliens" have swung elections.
I can no longer stand such cr*p.
Below the fold what I did.
Tonight I called customer service. I complained about seeing such a story the day after Obama's speech and wanted to know why they had to use lying Fox News (it could have been lying f*cking Fox News).
The person on the end of line said he will pass on my complaint.
I then asked to speak to the supervisor. After I explained I was not complaining about the person I was talking to, I told him why I was calling. I also told him about the story that was on my homepage about "illegal alien" votes tipping elections. I wanted to know why I was treated to such stories on my homepage. I explained I spend well-over $100/month with them.
The supervisor told me that Charter tries to accommodate their customers' desires. I wondered whether their customers want to see lying Fox News stories on their home page. I noted that at least 40% of Americans like what Obama is doing. I acknowledged that in Missouri it might be around 30%, but observed that his comment indicated Charter does not care about this minority's concerns and clearly not about this customer.
I said I would love to receive an email about what they are doing about my anger. That is not the company's policy.
Did I do the right thing in yelling (I did raise my voice and my spouse was not happy with the language I was using) to people who have nothing to do with putting Fox News on the Charter homepage?
Do you have any other suggestions about how to end this practice on a service I need to use?
