History has shown us time and again that those people can't be reasoned with, nor can they be appeased; the only winning move is to bomb them back to the Stone Age. #PaintItBlack

Rep. Steve Southerland challenged his Democratic opponent to put on her big boy pants.
Republican Congressman Steve Southerland – up against Gwen Graham, daughter of former U.S. Sen. and Gov. Bob Graham, in a heated Florida House race – is in hot water for doubling down on his campaign's sexism, now musing over his female opponent's lingerie party attendance record.
Southerland, responding to criticism over a male-only fundraiser his supporters hosted back in March, which stated on the invitation to "tell the Misses not to wait up," said that the event simply resembled a "lingerie party."
"I live with five women. That's all I'm saying. I live with five women," Southerland said. "Listen: Has Gwen Graham ever been to a lingerie shower? Ask her. And how many men were there?"

Sarah Palin & Co. (allegedly) fought for their right to party.
At least two named sources said the Palin family was at the party and members of the clan were involved in two altercations that night. Both eyewitnesses reported seeing the former Alaska governor herself at the scene. In addition, [journalist Amanda] Coyne spoke to an anonymous source who said Sarah Palin became physically involved in the second altercation. [...]
The report of Sarah Palin's involvement in the second confrontation was based on a single anonymous source who spoke to Coyne. The source said the former Alaska governor was "nearly crawling on top of people" during the second melee in an attempt to get into the mix, all while screaming and shouting profanities.
[Eyewitness Eric] Thompson told "Good Morning America" the ex-governor was yelling "Do you know who I am?" during the commotion, but he stopped short of saying she became physically involved in the fight.
And, finally...
Appalachian Trail hiker Mark Sanford overshared the sad news that his relationship status has changed.
In the rambling Friday afternoon Facebook post, Sanford announced how he plans to deal with being sued—again— by his ex-wife, over the visitation schedule for their sons, and that he has called off his engagement to his former mistress. [...]
Comma-averse Sanford begins his Facebook rant by apologizing for its completely unreasonable length: "But given the gravity of the issue at hand when I sat down to write late last night a long list of things came to my mind." If you say so.
He starts off with some riffing on history and Jesus about the nature of conflict, and then tells of how he learned, through the media, that the former Mrs. Sanford, Jenny Sullivan, had decided to bring "yet another lawsuit" against him.
Sanford informs that he plans to get a lawyer, whom he will "instruct… not to fight back." He then acknowledges that lawyers are expensive, but he has to get lawyers "so that I can focus without further distraction on… my work in Washington." Sanford goes into great detail about who took what assets in the divorce (she got the house and full custody of their children) as a way of explaining "the degree to which what's being done seems designed to embarrass me rather than change anything."
