It's shaping up as a busy week for official candidacy announcements for Republicans. Fiorina and Carson popped in today. Huckabee is throwing his name in the hat tomorrow. Which candidate or expected candidate is the most vulnerable? Which one is the most worrisome to Democrats?
If history has taught us anything, it's that Hillary Clinton is not a sure thing to be the Democratic nominee. Many are already posing this type of question as "who should Hillary fear the most" but that's not even close to being a reality just yet. Instead. we have to look at this as a general question of who would be best positioned to win the Presidency regardless of the Democratic nominee.
Not to sway the poll at all, but I'll go ahead and state who I think it would be. Jeb Bush is, in my opinion, too easy to attack. Even if he can shake the Bush-family stigma and even if he can mount the largest campaign contribution totals in history, he is uninspiring. Rand Paul is interesting but may be too radical on his foreign policy. Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson lack a track record. Chris Christie is done.
Huckabee could make a run and Scott Walker is interesting, but of the major candidates I think the Cuban-American candidates have the 2nd best shot. Between Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, I see the latter having the most potential pull long term. With that said, if John Kasich does run, he would give the Democrats the most trouble.
