Have you ever sat looking at clouds with a group of people, calling out what the shapes look like to you, and everyone sees something different in the same cloud? Apparently KOSacks have the same problem (or creative imaginations) when it comes to identifying the orange flourish that acts as a divider in all diaries: a divider which, maybe not so coincidentally, bears a strong resemblance to a cloud. Whatever it is, jump below it to see a very small random sampling of the imaginative descriptions of it found in diaries.
“More underneath the orange squiggle that is hidden on the Crawley family crest.” (diary by Molly Weasley about Downton Abbey)
“…video posted below the Orange Tsunami.” (diary by Xxdr zombiexx on rescue dog saving two swimmers caught in riptide)
“Some of these are described below the stylized moose dung,” and “Photographs of a recent camping trip are to be discovered below the stylistic orange bear poo” (diaries by Ojibwa about Glacier National Park)
“Follow me below the dingledoodle squiggliedKosagnocchi dividerthingie fold after a word from our sponsor…” (brillig in Top Comments)
“You can find more rescued green diaries below the orange garden layout.” (Meteor Blades in his Green Diary Rescue)
“Join me over the swirly orange cloud for the details.” (Rick Boston in a diary about Teabagger State Senator Ryan Fattman)
“Let's head below that funky orange jungle gym.” (funtony47 in a diary “Why Won’t the Pain Go Away ?”)
“… please join me below the orange suture line.” (in a diary about women and cosmetic surgery by Radiowalla)
“When you join us below the orange gnocchi-doodle…” (sidepocket’s diary on a welcome to newcomers)
“OK, let's all goosestep over the apricot strudel...” (bernardpliers in a diary about religious right zealots)
“Jump the degenerative cartilage…” (bastrop in a diary about an upcoming birthday)
How do you refer to the orange squiggle? Do you describe it the same way in every diary, or do you see different things in it on different days? Or are you one of those “what orange squiggle?” people? Do you have a favorite from someone else’s diary?
Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Coffee Hour at Street Prophets. This is an open thread where we can discuss what’s happening in our lives, what we’ve been working on, and our opinions on current events. We can even talk about squiggles and clouds.
