Yesterday I asked myself, “is MSNBC worth watching ?”. I’d like to share some of my random thoughts, and I hope you will too.
I don’t watch MSNBC during the day anymore. It’s a continuous loop of Clinton emails, Wikileaks and Trump rallies. I don’t need that. An honorable mention has to go to Andrea Mitchell. I find her anti-Hillary rhetoric disturbing. It never ends.
For the evening, I always skip Chris Matthews. I’m not impressed with people who like to hear themselves talk. In the past, I found some of his comments just superficial.
Yesterday, Michelle Obama and Hillary had a great rally together. Chris Hayes spent ten seconds on it because he had to get to TRUMP! Chris Hayes has been on a Trump marathon. I sometimes turn the channel during his program.
At least Rachel Maddow gave more time to the Michelle Obama/Hillary rally. But to be honest, I sometimes fall asleep during Rachel’s program. She uses the maximum amount of words for very small content. And sometimes I just don’t get Rachel’s choice of stories like, “what if Trump and Clinton end up in an electoral vote tie!”. Really. Sometimes I go to the Weather Channel during Rachel’s program.
Now I really like Lawrence O’’Donnell. He is sharp, concise, and has great stories. And my favorite is Joy Reid on weekends. Like Lawrence, her program really grips me.
So to answer my question, “is MSNBC worth watching?”, my answer is “yes”. But it’s slim pickings.
What do you think ?
