A friend of mine shared this on Facebook and it was quite an eye-opener. I realized I hadn’t seen it here yet. If it has been posted, I apologize.
Since they are already showing inauguration stuff, I now have the time to catch up on reading, email, and the like!
Politico interviewed three of t***p’s biographers. It was interesting to me that they all agreed on aspects of his personality and how he will handle things and what his motivations are. Looks like we may be heading for more trouble than imagined.
“From his pick of nominees for posts in his cabinet to his belligerent use of Twitter (our conversation was a day before he traded barbs with Congressman John Lewis) to his unwillingness to cut ties with his business to avoid conflicts of interest, they see the same person they’ve always seen—the consummate classroom troublemaker; a vain, insecure bully; and an anti-institutional schemer, as adept at “gaming the system” as he is unashamed. As they look ahead to his inauguration speech in two days, and to his administration beyond, they feel confident predicting that he will run the country much as he has run his company. For himself.”
And that’s just the opener. It is a fascinating read and for those of us who are determined to fight the coming injustices tooth and nail, it is good to realize his weak points. At least that’s my viewpoint.
(Though I think his inauguration speech will be written for him like his acceptance speech was and will sound normal if he sticks to it. Let’s all hope he goes off script.)
