Here is my recent letter to Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas, who recently in a hearing on a Drumpf nominee, said to Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, that he should take a Valium before the next round of questions. Wyden was nonplussed, and merely re-suggested that Sen. Roberts understand that his slow talk, slow walk, do-nothing filibuster of everything by drawling out questions for hours while people’s eyes glaze over and time runs out for the actual accomplishment of anything in the Senate.
Sen. Pat Roberts is Exhibit 1 of the reason Tea Party and Drumpf Republicans should have no access to the political process. They hate democracy and will do anything to stop any progress, any discussion, any reality from entering the Millionaires Club for the People’s Business.
So, here is the text of my email to Sen Pat Roberts webpage.
Dear Sen. Roberts;
While I am not a state resident, since you serve in the United States Senate, a National Office, I do have standing to comment on your recent performance in the Intelligence Committee toward Sen. Ron Wyden.
You, sir, are a man who does not understand the decorum and courtesy of your office. Everyone makes a mistake once in a while. You, however, not only insulted Sen Wyden, when Sen. Brown pointed it out, your counter-response was to say "Just so we are ok, right?" That is not an apology, to make another demand of the man you insulted.
I had always heard that the people of Kansas were kind and gentlemanly, and I can only assume that you are an outlier on that sense of decency. In any event, I will be contributing money against your next election campaign, and supporting any primary challenge and supporting WITH ENTHUSIASM any candidate who runs against you both in the Primary and the General.
In Oregon, we have a sense of fair play and decency, and the best I can say for you is this: be afraid, be very afraid, of the next election. We are going to bury you in counter-donations and focus on you like no senator has ever been focused on.
Good day, sir.
And I will do it. We are nice people here, but when you crap on an Oregonian, you have made an enemy for life. We are not above retribution and the joy of revenge.
