As the popular vote loser's presidency enters the Nixon zone (but in hyperdrive: it took years to get to the Saturday Night Massacre https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Massacre but DT managed to get there in weeks: Why Trump’s Firing of Sally Yates Should Worry You http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/01/trump-firing-sally-yates-should-worry-214716), I strongly recommend a book called All the President's Men (https://www.amazon.com/All-Presidents-Men-Bob-Woodward/dp/1476770514).
You may think that you know Watergate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watergate_scandal. You may think that you know what the book is about: a president who ordered the bugging of the DNC.
That's there, but there's a great deal more. There are many leads that Bernstein and Woodward were unable to follow up. There's the widespread involvement of the intelligence community. There's the role of the Young Republicans and their dirty tricks. Did you know that when Democrats scheduled a meeting or rally, the Young Republicans would call the meeting hall and cancel the reservation? Do you know the Muskie Letter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoEEs9cD4JI) (the Dean Scream of 1972) may have been written by a Young Republican.
The book contains far more incendiary stuff than what you've been told is there. Read it for yourself.
Then read a book I recommended earlier, The Campaign Against the Underground Press (recommendation: The Campaign Against the Underground Press long excerpt: http://www.historyisaweapon.com/defcon1/unameractrips.html).
