By a 52-47 vote the Senate voted to roll back the scuttling of net neutrality by Agit Pai and the Trump toadies at the FCC. www.commondreams.org/…
As demand progress put it,
BREAKING: We did it! Thanks to your relentless activism, Senators Lisa Murkowski and John Kennedy have just joined Susan Collins and the entire Senate Democratic caucus and voted to overturn the FCC and save net neutrality!
Here’s their web site: demandprogress.org/...
Now it goes to the House. Supporters will need to round up 24 votes from Republicans to pass the rollback, assuming all Democrats support.
Unfortunately, as I understand the resolution is still subject to a veto. It’s still an uphill battle, but we can probably already score most House members on whether they support net neutrality, and 99 senators are on record.
