When I wrote on July 7 it looked like it was all over for Mingus. He was listless, barely eating. The ER vet said he was in pain and it was time.
But he rallied.
And rallied.
And rallied.
Now, 5 weeks later, he’s still with us. It’s possible — and none of the vets suggested this to us but we can only look at results — that the flea infestation we discovered he had was causing so many of his problems. We had used Revolution on him every 3 weeks without fail, only to discover he was covered in fleas. The vet said, Revolution doesn’t work any more, you have to get Revolution Plus. Wish you had told us this earlier. We applied the new liquid. We combed him a dozen times a day and within 48 hours, the flea problem was diminishing and his whole attitude and demeanor changed and improved. Plus his hind legs which had been growing weaker and weaker were suddenly not as weak. They had been slipping out to the side and were now underneath him and while he’s still not picking them up as well as we might like, he’s not dragging them the way he was. Could this all have been caused by flea bites putting something his blood?
We’re just happy he’s continuing on. Eating. Using the litterbox. Drinking. Investigating the downstairs. Knocking things over. Coming over to the couch to sit with us.
