How do you start a grassroots effort to celebrate Trump being indicted?
Lot’s of if’s and assumptions. . . .
But when (not if) the day comes when the Justice Department issues an indictment (or multiple indictments) for President Donald Trump, what is the best way for progressives and independents, that have been waiting for this day for over 5/6 years, to show our support for the rule of law and that people who have broken laws should and will be held accountable?
His Presidency started with obvious Russian interference with assistance from his “Election Team” (Mueller investigation) and ended with the Insurrection and stealing of classified documents. (Obviously these are my opinions only at this time which I believe are fairly obvious to many of us). In between those events likely hundreds of other laws were broken and Presidential “norms” were shattered. Trump’s supporters have literally shoved his “hubris” down the throats of progressives for 6 straight years.
An indictment does in no way prove somebody is guilty of a crime. Trump (or anybody arrested) still has to be proven guilty and his being arrested would simply be a “milestone” towards that possible outcome. Don’t want anyone to think I am celebrating a score by spiking the ball on the 5 yard line before making it to the end zone. I just think that there could be an opportunity here for ordinary citizens ( Democrats/Progressives/Moderates/Rule abiding Republicans) to make a strong statement that what President Trump has done to tarnish the American system of government and the Office of the President of the United States will not be tolerated by law abiding citizens of this country.
Trump’s supporters will definitely be out in force. The purpose is not to clash with those individuals. The purpose is to show the United States media (and the world) that American’s do not support politician’s (future/current/former) who knowingly break laws and believe they are above those laws.
So what is the best way to start a grassroots effort so that when this goes down we give our support of those decisions in the most useful way possible?
