I have been without a computer and haven't been able to post. I have a tablet and as long as it works I should be able to return to my Sunday postings. Okay so let's just go to one of our favorite things food. Here are some new recipes for you.
Chili Stew
3/4 pound lean ground beef
8 1/4 ounces beets
15 1/2 ounces whole corn
15 ounces sweet peas
10 3/4 ounces tomato soup
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1 small onion minced
1 clove garlic minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 soup can of water
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Brown the meat and drain. Add remaining ingredients and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Pasta and Cheese
23 ounces tomato sauce
8 ounces elbow macaroni
1 clove garlic minced
1 small onion minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Combine everything except the cheese and heat to a simmer. Lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the cheese and stir until melted.
Cajun Sloppy Joes
1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
1 small shallot minced
1 clove garlic minced
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
16 ounces no salt added tomato sauce
6 ounces no salt added tomato paste
In a large frying pan over medium high heat brown the meat, shallot and garlic. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Spicy Meatloaf
1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine
1 whole egg
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Sauce
8 ounces tomato sauce
6 ounces tomato paste
1 tablespoon plum sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup Italian cheese
Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix the sauce ingredients together.
Mix the meatloaf ingredients together.
Wrap aluminum foil around a broiler pan and make holes in the slotted vents to drain the fat.
Freeform the meat into a loaf shape and cover with sauce.
Bake for 1 1/4 hours.
Asian Meatball and Vegetable Soup
10 ounces Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies drained
8 1/4 ounces diced mixed vegetables drained
14 1/2 ounces canned diced potatoes drained
8 1/4 ounces canned beets drained and diced
5 ounces water chestnuts sliced and drained
2 teaspoons seasoned salt divided
1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper divided
1 teaspoon minced ginger root
1 clove garlic minced
1 medium shallot minced
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
64 ounces low sodium beef broth
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Mix the ground beef, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, panko and wine together. Form into one inch meatballs.
Brown ginger root, garlic and shallots in a three quart saucepan in vegetable oil.
Mix the tomatoes, vegetables, potatoes, beets and water chestnuts together in a large saucepan.
Add remaining salt and pepper to the vegetables along with the balsamic vinegar and sesame oil.
Add the beef broth and meatballs to the saucepan. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
