This is an Open Thread / Coffee Hour and all topics of conversation are welcome.
How are you doing today? What is for dinner? What is on your mind? All topics of conversation are welcome. If you are new to Street Prophets please introduce yourself in the comments below.
Today's Coffee Hour is brought to you by the Building a Culture of Empathy project. Towards that end I am one of the trainers in the upcoming free Empathy Circle Facilitator Training Course on Zoom.
Today is a simple open thread. I’m away from my computer all day, so I could use some help in posting the community links stub.
This article is continued after the fold. The comments for this article are are after community links and its sub thread.
Coming up in April is our Free Facilitator Training Course. This is a 4 week course conducted on Saturdays that lasts about 2 and a half hours per class. In course we teach participants how to conduct and facilitate empathy circles. In the class we teach how our four main values of mutualism, empathy, openness, and care support the Empathy Circle process.
In addition to the classes students are encouraged to have “buddy calls” each week with fellow students to practice what is learned in class. These calls are about 40 minutes each and are scheduled at the convenience of the students.
As a prerequisite to the Facilitator Training Course students are expected to attend to empathy circles. There are a number of opportunities available on our Empathy Circle Calendar. On the calendar is our our Thursday Night 6 PM Pacific Time Empathy Circle Café.
