The Five R’s of the Resistance:
- Resist: Protest on the streets, call senators and representatives, etc.
- Rebel: Run for office, GOTV (Get Out The Vote), support a progressive.
- Revolt: Change the laws, change the culture, build your communities.
- Rely: Trust that millions of others are fighting the good fight.
- Rest: Take care of yourself, we are in this for the long term.
WineRev’s Good and Goofy Notes
Watch for WineRev’s G&G notes in the comments to see what others went through, struggled with, and surmounted in the past. His G&G comments are mini Good News Roundups. You can find all his comments here, even today’s, once he posts it. Tech Tip: You can search for >>> in Roundups to quickly find his comments.
WineRev, last Sunday:
Good morning and Happy Easter Sunday to all! If you are just arriving at the Gnuville Breakfast Brunch you may find it surprisingly crowded at the “Eggs As You Like ‘Em” serving line, with all sorts of sharply dressed patrons. Oh, there’s some yawning going on for sure, and the coffee and other caffeinated drinks are flowing briskly, but for a good number there is a certain glow in the eyes. Memories are stirred and certain triumphant musical phrases flit across the mind.
Yes, the Original Good-est Newsiest of the Good News (pronounced “eu/ev” (Greek: “good”) and “angelium” News) for millions, and for centuries, has been THIS day, THIS Sunday, the Day of Days that signals the Death…...of Death. So have many and still many do so believe, and live, and hope, and trust.
So that extra hopeful buzz and deep vibe around the Lounge among the pixels are all the Faithful who have done their own version of the Visit…..and found delight and Hope. They/We are here, virtually Visiting, and look upon all the Other Good News of March 31st (political, scientific, pet-related, human caring and uplift, exciting discoveries and inventions) as little shavings of uplift and hope, whittled off the Source. All Good, to be sure, yet there is a matter of scale…….Thank you 2thanks for the opening, the great hymns, and opening a place, The Place here on the InterNet, for the swapping of Good News in all sorts of forms ( a secular version of taking the lid off of various jars of spices to perfume the air and atmosphere…….and all of us are in favor of that whenever and where ever we can get it.) Thanks, 2thanks!
(“On the first day of the week at early dawn, the women went to the tomb, carrying spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away but when they went it they did not find the body. While they were perplexed about this, behold, 2 men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, ‘Why do you seek the living among the dead? Remember how he told you while you were still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men…...and be crucified…….and on the Third……..Day……….RISE?!”) Here endeth the reading….
Science
Please share good science news with us! (Especially JSWT, health, environment.)
A good place to look for science news if you are waiting for the Sunday Roundup is the archive of Overnight News Digest. On Saturdays, the OND always focuses on science, though not all of it is devoted to what I would call Good Science News.
Need more good news?
… arhpdx posted a list of good news sites toward the top of a recent Roundup, or you can find that same list in my comment: Good News Sources. Thank you, arhpdx and Mokurai!

Our map of Gnuville: 863 of us have shared our global locations!
To leave your mark, please Reply in the comments to tljdk or the map-building comment. Please indicate only your general location, NOT street number and street. (Please persist, we are volunteers.)

You can use the map’s zoom arrows to resize the view and focus on your pin to find neighbors. Please note that the Google Map, though convenient to operate, is visually inaccurate because, among other issues, it enlarges North America and shrinks Africa [Maps present a distorted view of the world by kos].

Tech Talk for Kosacks
- Load-More Workaround: On a desktop or laptop, to banish the Daily Kos Load More buttons, click this link, which opens the main Daily Kos page and shuts off the Load More buttons at the same time. You must Reload any open Daily Kos pages. After that, you’re good to go, but you may need to come back here and click that link again in a few weeks. According to the DK Help Desk, the “Load More” option also resets the user back to the display of the old-style, React comments.
- Got a Daily Kos tech question? Let us know. No question is too basic.
- Solved a tech question recently? Please feel free to brag in the comments.

In my Sunday smorgasbord Roundups, I especially welcome the following types of comments:

- Good News Roundups and you.
- How are you resisting?

A Little Bit About Me
Our Roundup is almost open!
Thank you for fighting for truth and justice with all us Gnusies! 40% of our Readers don’t visit every day, 50% of us do, and 10% are here for the first time! We all do what we can. For 5 years, we’ve shared positive news, laughed, organized, resisted, rebelled, revolted without being revolting, relied, rested, mentored, created, crossed rivers, chewed our cud, puffed methane out both ends, and laughed. Here’s looking at you, kid, and standing upwind! Beginners, you are cordially invited to comment!
As always, please share more Good News than I can find or provide.
This is a group diary, and by my power I declare this Good Gnus Salo(o)n open! Let the good-news sharing and community building begin!
Power with, not power over ❤️ ✊ ❤️
2thanks (he, him)
