7:12 PM PT (David Nir): GOP pickups: AR-Sen, MT-Sen, SD-Sen, WV-Sen; AR-Gov
Dem pickups: PA-Gov
Dem holds: MI-Sen, NH-Sen; NH-Gov, RI-Gov
7:13 PM PT (David Nir): The AP has called RI-Gov for Democrat Gina Raimondo. She's the first Democrat to actually win a gubernatorial election in the Ocean State in a couple of decades, but she definitely won't be a favorite of many progressives.
7:14 PM PT (David Nir): As for NC-Sen, Hagan trails by 2% with 80% in. Some Democratic counties underreporting significantly, but getting dicey.
7:15 PM PT (David Nir): Down in Georgia:
Closing a bit in #GA12. Barrow now trails Allen, 53-47 with 87% reporting

7:20 PM PT (David Nir): Very bad news, but not a surprise, given the polling: The AP has called CO-Sen for Republican Rep. Cory Gardner, who knocks off freshman Democratic Sen. Mark Udall. That gives the GOP five pickups, which means that Democrats need to hang on in NC, VA, IA, AK, and LA, or lose one of those and pray that Greg Orman wins in KS and caucuses with the Ds.
7:22 PM PT (David Nir): Ah f*#$#! The AP calls FL-Gov for GOP Gov. Rick Scott. I really, really wanted Charlie Crist to win.
7:23 PM PT (David Nir): Conservative Dem Rep. John Barrow was unable to defy gravity one last time. He's lost his GA-12 seat to Republican Rick Allen.
7:24 PM PT (David Nir): The one other way Dems could hold the Senate with additional losses is to somehow pick up GA-Sen.
7:25 PM PT (David Nir): Kansas is still being slow. 42% in and Dem Paul Davis up 2 in Gov race, GOP Sen. Pat Roberts up 5.
7:27 PM PT (David Nir): Freshman Dem Rep. Bill Enyart loses in IL-12 to GOPer Mike Bost. Blech.
7:27 PM PT (David Nir): The December LA-Sen runoff has already begun:
7:30 PM PT (David Nir): Add this piece of suck to the suck pile:
That would give the GOP six pickups, enough to take control of the Senate unless Democrats pull a rabbit out of their hats elsewhere.
7:34 PM PT (Barbara Morrill): New thread here.
